TSA

TSA or Transportation Security Administration is an organization formed under the US Department of Homeland Security that aims at making traveling secure in the United States. Screening of baggage is one of its chief concerns to prevent the transportation of potentially harmful or illegal material.

It also enforces certain baggage rules. The 3-1-1 liquids rule is one of TSA’s rules for carry-on luggage.

These screenings are not necessary for private charter flights as they are not related to public security.
